Notice period calculator (Qatar)
Article 49, as amended in 2020: after probation, either side may end the contract with written notice of one month in the first two years of work and two months after that.
How it is worked out
Service is counted up to the day notice is given.
The side that ends the contract without the full notice pays the other the basic wage for the missing part (Article 49).
Probation has its own rules (Article 39) and is not covered here.
Assumption: the law sets no divisor, so the daily wage is taken as the monthly basic wage ÷ 30 and the hourly wage as the daily wage ÷ 8, the usual practice in Qatar.
Estimate only, based on the minimums in Qatar's Labour Law. Not legal or payroll advice; a contract or company rules may give more.
Rukn does this for every worker, every month. See how it works
